Why Kellé

It’s a point of pride that my clients love working with me, and many stick with me for years. Here are a few reasons why I’m a reliable resource:

Years of Writing for Software & e-Learning Technology: 20

I bring two decades of software and e-learning experience to every client engagement. I’ve done extensive work for all sorts of companies, from big names in the biz such as Pearson and Disney Interactive to industry newcomers. I can get up to speed on your company quickly, I know what questions to ask to get the right details, and I know where to research. And I can help you explain complex technology and processes to your audience in a way that will catch attention.

Years in PR & Marketing: 24

I’ve worked with both agencies and in-house PR & marketing departments, providing them with a variety of materials for their strategic initiatives. That background has given me extensive insight into your needs and enables me to function as an effective member of your team, giving you the support you need.

Years as a Published Storyteller: 26

I’ve been publishing my short stories since 1992. It’s a practice has helped me master creating concise narratives that hook readers’ attention and draw them in. And I bring those storytelling skills to play when writing your content.

A Little More About My Background

I work with software and education technology companies to produce content marketing materials that engage and persuade customers.

I fell in love with writing promotional materials after participating in the American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural program as a high school student. I had such a good time that when I returned to my own country, I helped promote  the program by writing newsletter articles and speeches.

I’m committed to excellence.

I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. During my time in college, I built practical experience by working as a writer for the college newspaper, an editor-in-chief of a student magazine, and a two-time intern at the Maryland Office of Tourism Development.

What does this mean for you? It means I’m an old hand at interviewing, researching efficiently, and producing high-quality content.

I like a challenge.

After I graduated from college, I came across the book Secrets of a Freelance Writer by Robert Bly and decided to strike out on my own despite my newbie status. As you can see, that worked out!

One of my proudest moments involved ghostwriting an article on the use of sensors and analysis software in the postsecondary classroom. The PR agency asked me to submit the article to the Journal of Chemical Education. The catch was that the person for whom I’d ghostwritten taught physics, not chemistry! My agency liaison wanted to write the whole thing off as a mistake, but I felt that the interview had provided enough to actually satisfy chemistry instructors. Bottom line: I created an article on physics instruction relevant enough for the peer-reviewed journal to accept!

What does this mean for you? It shows that I have the initiative to not only hit the ground running, but I also become very invested in making your project a success.
